About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Line Cook to join our team at Smitty's Family Restaurant. As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, including complete meals and individual items, to meet the needs of our customers.
  • Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure they are clean and well-maintained.
  • Train and supervise kitchen staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food.
  • Maintain accurate inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment.
  • Clean and maintain kitchen and work areas to ensure a safe and healthy environment.
  • Organize and coordinate buffets and banquets to meet the needs of our customers.
Work Environment

As a Line Cook at Smitty's Family Restaurant, you will work in a fast-paced kitchen environment with a team of experienced chefs and kitchen staff. You will be required to stand for extended periods and work under pressure to meet the demands of a busy restaurant.

Requirements
  • 1-2 years of experience in a kitchen environment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
