Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Associate Director, Regulatory, Governance to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing regulatory requests, developing forward-looking plans, and ensuring consistency in response and messaging.

Responsibilities
  • Manage regulatory requests through the development of forward-looking plans to manage annual and ad hoc regulatory and/or agency requests for which GRM OR is accountable, including identification of stakeholders.
  • Coordinate responses across ERR and business/functions.
  • Create, coordinate, and maintain documentation ensuring appropriate documentation is provided to satisfy regulatory requests.
  • Ensure consistency in response and messaging, including validation with management.
  • Work with and oversee the PM (as required) on the post-exam process to ensure execution of action plans to remediate MRA/issues.
  • Responsible to ensure appropriate engagement of appropriate stakeholders and owners to fully remediate MRAs/issues.
  • Support internal processes as necessary, including the production of the team's reports.
  • Support the execution of short and long-range projects affecting GRM OR or individual teams.
  • Develop relationships and networks within GRM OR and RBC to influence and impact processes to the benefit of RBC.
  • Act as the first point of contact as required, liaising and coordinating with other GRM OR groups as appropriate.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business or related field.
  • Project management experience.
  • Experience working in a technology function.
  • Maturity level and skill/judgment to be able to deal effectively with senior levels within RBC, operational risk groups throughout the organization.
  • Excellent presentation and communication (verbal and written) skills.
  • Good impact and influence skills.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical (including qualitative analysis), research, and quantitative skills.
  • Strong research skills.
  • Ability to assimilate and interpret information covering a wide range of differing business areas.
