Job Summary

This role is responsible for the counting and movement of cash assets from the gaming floor under the direct supervision of the Manager, Cage or the Supervisor, Slot & Cage. The successful candidate will ensure adherence to the Company's policies and procedures, motivate and lead by example, and support Great Canadian Entertainment's learning environment while establishing a safe and welcoming work environment for all team members.

Key Responsibilities

  • Count and verify bills, coins, and cash equivalents
  • Organize and secure the storage of count carts, drop boxes, drop buckets, and bill cartridges for count pulls
  • Report suspect cash and cash equivalents
  • Verify and reconcile before and after counts
  • Bag, bundle, secure, and transport counts
  • Provide information for reporting purposes
  • Communicate effectively with all operational departments
  • Build strong working relationships with internal and external guests
  • Ensure compliance with licensing laws, health and safety, and other statutory regulations
  • Perform other duties as assigned or directed

Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in high-volume cash handling and counting
  • Ability to successfully obtain a Gaming License
  • Bilingual (English/French) is an asset but not required

Work Environment Considerations

  • Work within a 24/7 operation with ability to work flexible hours when required (days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays)
  • Must be willing to submit to a criminal record check with results acceptable to our organization, standards, and position
