Job Description:

Park Plaza Fitness & Rec Centre is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Cashier to join our team. As a Cashier, you will be responsible for operating the cash register, processing transactions, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate a cash register accurately and efficiently.
  • Process money, cheques, and credit/debit card payments in a timely manner.
  • Scan items quickly and correctly.
  • Receive payment for goods or services with a smile.
  • Stock shelves and maintain a clean and organized counter area.
  • Greet customers warmly and provide assistance as needed.
  • Accept reservations or take-out orders with ease.
  • Assist theatre patrons with seat selection.
  • Wrap or place merchandise in bags efficiently.
  • Weigh produce and bulk foods accurately.
  • Provide top-notch customer service at all times.
  • Calculate foreign currency exchange with precision.
  • Verify the age of customers when selling lottery tickets, alcohol, or tobacco products.
Work Environment:

This permanent position requires standing for extended periods and working 30-40 hours per week. The work language is English, and the ideal candidate should be fluent in English.
