Corky's Liquor Store seeks an experienced Liquor Store Assistant Manager to oversee daily operations in our urban location. This is a permanent, part-time position with a salary of $55,000 - $65,000 per annum.

About the Role

As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for managing staff and assigning duties, locating and selecting merchandise for resale, planning budgets and monitoring revenues and expenses, and determining staffing requirements. You will also recruit, hire, and supervise staff and/or volunteers, plan and organize daily operations, direct and control employees, and evaluate their performance.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and lead a team of 3-4 people in our liquor store
  • Select and procure merchandise for resale
  • Plan and manage budgets and monitor revenues and expenses
  • Determine staffing requirements and recruit suitable candidates
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff members
  • Plan, organize, direct, control, and evaluate daily operations
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should have at least 2 years of experience in a similar position, with a strong understanding of retail operations and excellent leadership skills. You must be proficient in communicating with colleagues and customers, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
