Strategic Leader for Operational Excellence

We are seeking an exceptional leader to serve as our Chief Administrative Officer. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, this individual will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of our organization.

Job DescriptionThe Chief Administrative Officer will be responsible for overseeing all corporate and administrative functions, working closely with senior leaders to drive strategic goals and ensure regulatory compliance. Key responsibilities include:
- Providing leadership and input for strategic decisions and processes;
- Implementing our organizational strategy and managing assigned functions efficiently and effectively;
- Streamlining internal processes and improving operational efficiency;
- Working collaboratively with the CEO to formulate and develop our vision, mission, and strategic plans;
- Providing leadership, support, and guidance to administrative and support functions as required;
- Overseeing the establishment of annual performance goals and objectives, performance evaluation, budgets, and resource allocation;
- Promoting a positive workplace culture and championing diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives;
- Ensuring that our infrastructure supports business objectives and standards;
- Leading and supporting key standing committees and the Board pertaining to effective operations of various units;
- Ensuring that all organizational policies and procedures comply with legal and regulatory standards;
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's degree in Business Management or a related field (Master's degree or MBA preferred);
- At least 8 years of senior management experience, preferably in a public or non-profit unionized environment;
- Demonstrated ability to manage key constituent relationships;
- Strong leadership qualities with excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
- Proven experience leading cross-functional teams, inspiring and motivating staff at all levels;
- Strategic, innovative, forward-looking, and creative thinking;
- Experience in project management, process improvement, and implementing organizational change;
- Bilingual – English and Chinese (Cantonese, Mandarin as an asset).
The estimated salary range for this position is $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience. Our comprehensive benefits package includes medical, dental, and vision coverage, as well as retirement savings plan options.
