Family Practitioner at Alouette Correctional Centre

We are seeking a Family Practitioner to join our team at the Alouette Correctional Centre. As a Family Practitioner, you will work alongside other healthcare experts to provide quality care for clients and help them live an active life during their time in custody and as they reintegrate into the community.
About the RoleThis is a part-time opportunity that will allow you to build your professional practice portfolio in the area of mental health and addictions. You will work in a supportive and inter-professional team, with full access to the Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system to support delivery of comprehensive patient care.
Responsibilities- Provide primary care to clients in the correctional setting
- Work with patients across a broad spectrum of psychiatric illness, substance use disorders, and personality difficulties
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care
- Eligible for provisional or full licensure with CPSBC
- Certification with the College of Family Physicians, or equivalent, is mandatory
