Job Summary

Andy Transport is seeking a reliable and skilled Class 1 Company Driver to join our team for local dry van routes. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods within a dry van trailer.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform pick-ups and deliveries in the Greater Montreal area, Trois-Rivières, Sherbrooke, and Gatineau.
  • Oversee cargo handling and secure loads, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections on equipment and loads to ensure safety and roadworthiness.
  • Comply with all applicable legislation, including safe operation, carriage of goods, driver's hours of service, occupational health and safety, and transportation of dangerous goods.
  • Report any vehicle defects, accidents, or traffic violations to the supervisor.
  • Verify all load-related documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Record and maintain required documentation, including driver logbooks, bills of lading, and other relevant documents.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, colleagues, and the public through verbal and written communication.
  • Deliver products and necessary paperwork to customers in a timely and courteous manner.
  • Provide feedback to supervisors regarding customer issues, mechanical problems, or delivery issues.
  • Maintain trucks in good working condition and perform required inspections.
  • Complete all necessary paperwork at the end of each shift.
Requirements
  • Hold a valid Class 1 License.
  • Day Shift - starting time between 6 and 8 AM.
  • Clean Driving Abstract (recently issued - 3 months).
  • Clean Canadian Criminal Record (recently issued - 3 months).
  • Valid Passport.
  • Dependable and punctual.
  • Fluent in French and/or English.
