Key Responsibilities- **Cutting and Preparing Meat Products**: Cut carcasses, sides, and quarters to prepare for processing or cutting.
- **Meat Handling and Preparation**: Clean meats to prepare for processing or cutting, remove bones from meat, and weigh meats for sale.
- **Customer Service**: Sell meats to customers, price meat products, and provide excellent customer service.
- **Equipment Operation**: Operate band saws, manual cutting utensils, power grinders, and slicing machines to prepare meat products.
- **Teamwork**: Supervise other butchers, meat cutters, and fishmongers, and train meat cutters to ensure a smooth and efficient workflow.
- **Education**: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- **Work Environment**: Fast-paced environment, standing for extended periods, and attention to detail.
- **Physical Capabilities**: Hand-eye coordination and ability to lift and move heavy objects.
- **Personal Suitability**: Accurate, client-focused, dependable, flexible, initiative, judgement, organized, reliable, and a team player.
- **Training and Development**: Will train and provide opportunities for growth and development.
- **Work Schedule**: 30 hours per week.
- **Language**: English.
