About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled and motivated nurse to join our team as an Advanced Practice Nurse, Oncology. The successful candidate will have a strong background in oncology nursing and experience in advanced practice or nursing leadership. They will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to provide expert care to patients with cancer and advance professional practice in oncology nursing.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide advanced practice nursing care to patients with cancer, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care
- Develop and implement educational programs for nursing staff to enhance their skills and knowledge in oncology nursing
- Collaborate with the Manager and Director to promote a culture of continuous practice improvement and quality patient care
- Work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and coordinate care transitions

Requirements

- Master's degree in Nursing or Education required; Master's in a related field preferred
- Current certification of registration from the College of Nurses of Ontario and current BCLS certificate required
- Completion of Provincial Standardized Chemotherapy and Biotherapy Course via de Souza Institute strongly preferred
- Canadian Nurses Association certification as Certified Oncology NurseCON(c) or Oncology Nursing Society (OCN) certification strongly preferred
