Job Description for a Cleaner Position at Reliable Cleaning Services

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented individual to join our cleaning team as a Cleaner.

  • Duties:
    • Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors to ensure a clean and safe environment.
    • Dust furniture and fixtures to maintain a high level of cleanliness.
    • Vacuum carpeting, area rugs, draperies, and upholstered furniture to remove dirt and debris.
    • Make beds and change sheets to ensure a comfortable living space.
    • Clean, disinfect, and polish kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances to maintain hygiene standards.
    • Disinfect operating rooms and other areas to prevent the spread of germs.
    • Clean and disinfect elevators to ensure a safe and healthy environment.
    • Pick up debris and empty trash containers to maintain a clean and organized space.
    • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties as needed.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Experience: Will train.
  • Work Setting: Cleaning service company, commercial building, healthcare institution, facility, or clinic.
  • Transportation/Travel Information: Own transportation, valid driver's license, and own vehicle.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Repetitive tasks, physically demanding, attention to detail, bending, crouching, kneeling, combination of sitting, standing, walking, and walking.
  • Weight Handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
  • Personal Suitability: Punctuality, dependability, excellent oral communication, organized, reliability, team player, values, and ethics.
  • Support for Newcomers and Refugees: Participates in government or community programs that support newcomers and refugees, assists with immediate settlement needs, supports social and labor market integration, recruits newcomers and refugees, supports credential recognition, and offers mentorship programs.
  • Support for Youths: Participates in government or community programs that support youth employment, offers on-the-job training, mentorship, coaching, and networking opportunities, and provides awareness training.
  • Support for Veterans: Participates in government or community programs that support Veterans, offers mentorship, coaching, and networking opportunities, provides awareness training, recruits Veterans, assists with immediate transition needs, offers workshops and counseling services, and supports translating military skills into civilian job market language.
  • Support for Indigenous People: Participates in government or community programs that support Indigenous people, offers mentorship, coaching, and networking opportunities, develops and maintains relationships with Indigenous communities, provides cultural competency training, facilitates access to Elders, and creates a welcoming work environment.
  • Support for Visible Minorities: Participates in government or community programs that support members of visible minorities, applies hiring policies that discourage discrimination, offers mentorship programs, provides diversity and cross-cultural training, and creates a welcoming work environment.
