The successful candidate will work closely with the management team to improve safety, quality, cost, efficiency, and waste reduction. Key responsibilities include ensuring maintenance objectives are met, monitoring all maintenance activities, and collaborating with the management team to achieve plant goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish and implement effective maintenance schedules to maximize resource utilization
  • Train and develop maintenance staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties
  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment for all employees and colleagues
  • Conduct regular inspections of machinery and equipment to ensure safe operation and compliance with specifications
  • Make recommendations for equipment improvements or changes based on analysis of production data and trends
  • Apply and enforce Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) to ensure high-quality products
  • Collaborate with the buyer and maintenance planner to ensure effective maintenance planning and execution
Requirements:
  • Minimum D.E.P. in electromechanics
  • Minimum 5 years supervisory experience, preferably in a food plant
  • Knowledge of mechanics, electricity, pneumatics, hydraulics, and electronics
  • Knowledge of automation and maintenance work in a food plant
  • Computer skills, including MS Office, HTML, and messaging software
  • Sense of initiative and resourcefulness
  • Strong organizational, planning, and priority management skills
  • Ability to manage stress
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Spoken and written French - Mandatory
  • Spoken and written English - Asset
