Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Application Support Analyst to join our team at Royal Bank of Canada. As a key member of our IT operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of computer-generated data and providing complete knowledge, skills, and practices to perform assignments.

What is the Opportunity?

As an Application Support Analyst, you will coordinate production support activities for all major systems and related subsystems. You will apply your knowledge, skills, and practices to perform assignments, ensuring that up-to-date job control language is maintained and documented for each program that is part of a scheduled production run.

You will also ensure the documentation and tracking of all shift turnover issues, contribute to job scheduling and report distribution, and develop and enforce data center standards. Additionally, you will monitor the library to ensure that the proper generation of data files are available for production runs and track resolution.

What do you need to succeed?

To be successful in this role, you must have excellent communication skills (written and verbal), be a self-starter with the creativity to solve problems independently, and have the ability to build effective relationships with a range of team members, stakeholders, partners, vendors, and business users.

You should also have a working knowledge of both real-time and batch transaction process monitoring and issue response, experience working in a 24x7 environment with a hybrid support model, and experience with the incident and problem management lifecycles.

Additionally, you should have experience with SQL & Unix environments, and nice-to-have skills include working experience with ServiceNow or comparable IT Service Management toolsets, 1+ years working knowledge of App Dynamics, UIM or comparable Operational Monitoring toolsets, software development experience, IT system operations experience, familiarity with large-scale logging solutions in a development or operations perspective, experience with Window/Unix environment, and ITIL Framework.
