The High Prairie School Division is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Educational Assistant to join our team. As an Educational Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with their educational needs, promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment, and collaborating with teachers and other staff members to ensure student success.
Key Responsibilities- Provide individualized support to students with diverse needs, including those with special needs, English language learners, and students requiring academic support
- Assist teachers with lesson planning, implementation, and assessment, as well as with classroom management and organization
- Develop and implement strategies to promote student engagement, motivation, and self-esteem
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff to ensure a collaborative and supportive learning environment
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in areas such as special education, English language learning, and classroom management
- High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in a related field an asset
- Experience working with students with diverse needs and abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced educational environment
