Job Summary:

Cineplex is seeking a skilled Server to provide exceptional guest service in our restaurant. As a Server, you will be responsible for taking orders, serving food and beverages, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment for our guests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take accurate orders from guests and ensure timely delivery of food and beverages.
  • Maintain a strong working knowledge of our menu items and daily specials.
  • Provide exceptional guest service, ensuring a positive dining experience for all patrons.
  • Clean and maintain designated areas, adhering to company standards and procedures.
  • Set tables to company policy, ensuring all items are clean, undamaged, and in good condition.
  • Ensure storerooms are adequately stocked with replacement cutlery, linen, and other essential items.
  • Process payments and handle guest complaints in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Participate in fire drills and maintain familiarity with all exits and emergency procedures.
  • Assist subordinate staff in their duties and provide on-the-job training as needed.
  • Adhere to Health, Food Safe, and Liquor service guidelines.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1-3 years of restaurant service experience considered an asset.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a diverse environment.
  • Able to communicate verbally and in writing, with a strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and maintain a positive team attitude.
  • Provincially applicable sell, sale, and handling of alcohol certificate required.

Working Conditions:

  • Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripherals.
  • Overtime as required.
  • Required to stand and walk for extended periods, with occasional lifting or moving of up to 20lbs.
