We are seeking a highly skilled Life Cycle Assessment and Optimization Specialist to join our team at the International Society for Industrial Ecology. As a key member of our research group, you will be responsible for conducting in-depth studies on barley malting sustainability in Canada.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement life cycle assessment models to evaluate the environmental impacts of barley malting processes.
- Analyze data from industry partners (Boortmalt, MakersMalt) to identify areas for improvement in energy and water use efficiency.
- Collaborate with researchers to develop and refine optimization models that minimize greenhouse gas emissions and other negative environmental impacts.
- Communicate research findings to stakeholders through reports, presentations, and publications.
- Master's or Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering, Industrial Ecology, or a related field.
- Strong background in life cycle assessment, process optimization, and data analysis.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
