Brandt is a leading provider of agricultural and construction equipment in Canada, with a strong presence in the Swift Current area. We are currently seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team in Regina.

This role is responsible for ensuring the repair and maintenance of our construction and forestry based equipment and attachments. The successful candidate will be accountable for:

  • Evaluating the working condition of heavy duty equipment, diagnosing issues, assembling/disassembling parts, ordering replacement components, and performing repairs efficiently
  • Utilizing secondary materials and equipment safely and effectively, adhering to industry standards and guidelines
  • Operating related instruments, hand tools, power tools, secondary equipment, and computer systems proficiently
  • Maintaining accurate records of machine information, actions taken, and time spent on tasks using work orders
  • Continuously assessing service task hazards and ensuring work is performed safely and to accepted standards
  • Leveraging computer applications and information systems (e.g., John Deere Service Advisor) to document maintenance, inspections, and diagnoses
  • Locating parts using catalogues and ordering replacements from parts personnel as needed
  • Road testing equipment and verifying attachment operation when required

We offer a competitive salary range of $60,000 - $80,000 per annum, commensurate with experience. In addition to a stable income, you can expect:

To succeed in this role, you should possess:

  • Prior mechanical experience in a heavy equipment setting, preferably with a heavy-duty equipment technician trade certification or equivalent
  • The ability to communicate effectively with customers, colleagues, and branch personnel
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • The capacity to meet physical demands, including climbing, lifting, and prolonged standing
