Job Title: Family Child Care Provider

We are seeking a reliable and caring Family Child Care Provider to join our team at Eseosa Babatunde. As a Family Child Care Provider, you will be responsible for providing high-quality childcare services to children in a home-based setting.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a safe and nurturing environment for children, planning and implementing engaging activities, and maintaining open communication with parents. Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality childcare services to children in a home-based setting
  • Create a safe and nurturing environment for children
  • Plan and implement engaging activities for children
  • Maintain open communication with parents
  • Assume full responsibility for household in absence of parents
  • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
  • Shop for food and household supplies
  • Wash, iron and press clothing and household linens
  • Care for pets
  • Bathe, dress and feed infants and children
  • Care for foster children
  • Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents
  • Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development
  • Keep records of daily activities and health information regarding children
  • Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home
  • Organize activities such as games and outings for children
  • Prepare and serve nutritious meals
  • Prepare infants and children for rest periods
  • Supervise and care for children
  • Take children to and from school and to appointments
  • Tend to emotional well-being of children
  • Help children with homework
  • Cook
Requirements:
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in childcare
  • No degree, certificate or diploma required
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations
Working Conditions:

The Family Child Care Provider will work in a home-based setting, providing childcare services to children. The successful candidate must be able to work independently and as part of a team, and must be able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.

Security and Safety:

The Family Child Care Provider will be required to undergo a criminal record check and a drug test.

Transportation/Travel Information:

The Family Child Care Provider will be required to travel with children to and from school and to appointments.

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:

The Family Child Care Provider will be required to work in a physically demanding environment, handling heavy loads and performing repetitive tasks.

Weight Handling:

The Family Child Care Provider will be required to lift up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs).
