Job Title: Designated Early Childhood Educator

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Designated Early Childhood Educator to join our team at the Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board.

Job Summary:

The Designated Early Childhood Educator will work collaboratively with the classroom teacher and other support staff to provide a Catholic education to students in a kindergarten setting. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a positive and inclusive learning environment, implementing the kindergarten program, and providing support to students with diverse needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement developmentally appropriate programs for kindergarten students
  • Work collaboratively with the classroom teacher to plan and deliver lessons
  • Provide support to students with diverse needs, including those with Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Contribute to the completion of observation and communication of learning reports
  • Participate in staff meetings and professional development activities
Qualifications:
  • Diploma or degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE)
  • Registered member in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators
  • Catholic pastoral reference (dated within the last 12 months)
Experience:
  • Minimum three years' experience working as an Early Childhood Educator
  • Experience in planning and implementing developmentally appropriate programs
  • Experience working with students with diverse needs
