Medical Laboratory Assistant

At Dynacare, we're seeking a skilled Medical Laboratory Assistant to join our team in the South Okanagan region. As a Medical Laboratory Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our Laboratory and Health Services Center.
Key Responsibilities:- Process blood samples and other laboratory specimens with precision and accuracy
- Enter requisitions and results in a timely manner, ensuring seamless communication with healthcare professionals
- Provide outstanding customer service, empathizing with patients and their families in stressful situations
- Collaborate with colleagues to maintain a safe and efficient work environment
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and laboratory operations
- Secondary School diploma and completion of a Laboratory Assistant training program or Medical Lab Assistance course with phlebotomy specialization
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced setting
- Proficiency in English, both written and verbal, to communicate clearly with patients and healthcare professionals
