Job Summary

The Warehouse Associate will be responsible for sorting available deliveries and generating pick slips in accordance with delivery requirements and inventory availability. They will also be responsible for picking orders from inventory, assembling ordered components for packing, and verifying picked quantities on pick slips.

Responsibilities

  • Sort available deliveries and generate pick slips in accordance with delivery requirements and inventory availability.
  • Pick orders from inventory and assemble ordered components for packing.
  • Verify picked quantities on pick slips and rectify any discrepancies.
  • Check components on order as packed in to shipping container and verify against pick slip.
  • Secure shipping container as required to protect damage or loss of components while in the hands of carriers.
  • Pick kits as specified by production order pick slips.
  • Generate pick slips and delivery notes in accordance with work instructions.
  • Advise supervisor of transactions that require data adjustment to allow picking.
  • Enter shipment details into shipping system and generate required documents and shipping labels.
  • Arrange for assigned carriers to pick up shipments and load shipments on to carrier's transport vehicles.
  • Ensure shipments are available for couriers/carriers at designated pick-up times and maintain required licenses and test requirements to operate all warehouse equipment.
  • Maintain stocks of shipping supplies and advise supervisor when replacement supplies are required.
  • Maintain warehouse assembly area and shipping area in accordance with Health and Safety policies.
  • Adhere to company policy and procedure with respect to conduct and department operation.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 5 years warehouse experience required.
  • Previous experience in an automotive parts role is preferred.
  • Understanding of warehouse processes and forklift experience required.
  • Able to complete in house forklift license requirement within 4 weeks of start date.
  • A team player with a strong work ethic, positive attitude, and customer-focused mindset.
  • Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Attention to detail required.
  • Knowledge of MS Office Applications and ability to enter data for informational purposes.
  • Able to understand basic input functions for SAP system after training.
