Job Title: Data Architect

Iron Systems is a leading provider of custom-built computing infrastructure platforms, delivering innovative solutions to customers worldwide. As a Data Architect, you will play a crucial role in shaping the company's data strategy, ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and security of our data assets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and implement data models and solutions for Business Intelligence Applications and systems.
  • Create short-term tactical solutions to achieve long-term objectives and an overall WCB BI strategy and roadmap.
  • Architect data models at the conceptual, logical, and physical levels for BI Applications and subject areas.
  • Establish processes for governing the identification, collection, and use of corporate metadata, ensuring data accuracy and validity.
  • Collaborate with business unit leaders and users, and project teams, for all projects involving enterprise data, analyzing user requirements for reports, forms, queries, and data extraction.
  • Architect and design the mapping of data sources, data movement, interfaces, and analytics, ensuring data quality and governance at all levels in BI applications and environments.
  • Develop and deploy end-user practices and tools for data extraction, queries, and data manipulation in accordance with business processes.
  • Develop and administer BI architecture for use-case-specific modeling.
  • Work with BI Development Team to develop BI design standards, ETL Coding standards, reporting standards, data quality assurance policies, and procedures.
  • Create and document BI models for any new development and/or changes to existing ones through Erwin data modeling tool, data flowcharting, etc.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain change control and testing processes for modifications to data models.
  • Coordinate data model development with the higher-level data architecture to ensure cross-application consistency.
  • Ensure the stability and reliability of data access and data quality within BI environments and platforms via ongoing support and maintenance.
  • Collaborate with DBAs to monitor database system details, stored procedures, and execution time, database access and performance issues, and implement efficiency improvements.
  • Assist with the network and security team for the installation and configuration of relevant network components to ensure BI environment and platform access, consistency, and integrity.

Requirements:

  • Proficient in Erwin Data Modeling tool, SSIS ETL tool, Tabular cube design, data extraction, and transformation processes, etc.
