Your expertise in surveying and assessing designated sites, as well as your ability to water and tend to plants, lawns, and gardens, will be essential in delivering high-quality results.

Responsibilities
  • Manage landscaping projects from start to finish
  • Prepare detailed proposals and specifications for clients
  • Survey and assess designated sites to determine the best course of action
  • Water and tend to plants, lawns, and gardens to ensure optimal growth and health
  • Assess the health of lawns and make recommendations for improvement
  • Plant and maintain private and public lawns and gardens
  • Plant and move trees to enhance the aesthetic appeal of outdoor spaces
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
  • Pre-apprenticeship training and level one to five apprenticeship training in landscaping
  • Experience in residential, commercial, and institutional construction, as well as park and recreation sites
  • Knowledge of automated irrigation systems, fieldstone paths, interlocking brick, ornamental ponds, fountains, and waterfalls, retaining walls, rock gardens, and stone garden walls
  • Ability to work in a noisy and physically demanding environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
