Job Title: Supply Chain Procurement Specialist

At DBG Canada Limited, we are seeking an experienced Materials Planner to join our team. As a key member of our supply chain department, you will play a vital role in ensuring the timely delivery of materials and maintaining quality standards.

About the Role:

This is a full-time, permanent position that requires a strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years' experience in a manufacturing setting and a post-secondary education related to the automotive or manufacturing industry.

You will be responsible for planning production material based on customer releases and production schedules, expediting required materials, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and generating commodity cost estimates. You will also work closely with suppliers to develop mutually beneficial relationships and negotiate quotations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and coordinate the procurement of materials and supplies to support production schedules
  • Expedite and resolve delivery issues to ensure timely receipt of materials
  • Analyze and optimize purchasing processes to reduce costs and improve efficiency
  • Negotiate with suppliers to secure competitive pricing and delivery terms
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with budget and timing requirements

Requirements:

  • 2+ years' experience in a manufacturing setting
  • Post-secondary education related to the automotive or manufacturing industry
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
