Job Opportunity:
The Institute of Transdisciplinary Studies in Engineering Education and Practice at the University of Toronto invites applications for a full-time teaching stream appointment in the area of engineering business and entrepreneurship. The appointment will be at the rank of Assistant Professor Teaching Stream.
Responsibilities:
The successful applicant will teach courses within the Faculty of Applied Science and Engineering's Business Minor and Entrepreneurship Certificate and support the integration of business and entrepreneurship across the undergraduate and graduate curricula. They will also pursue scholarship related to the instruction of business and entrepreneurship and the application of business and entrepreneurship in engineering practice.
Requirements:
Candidates must have demonstrated teaching excellence and expertise in business and/or entrepreneurship. A PhD in marketing, strategy management, entrepreneurship, engineering, engineering education, or a related field is required at the time of appointment or shortly thereafter. We will also consider applicants with an equivalent doctoral degree in a related area or a Master's degree combined with relevant industry/professional and teaching experience of at least 5 years.
Desirable Qualifications:
Teaching experience within an undergraduate engineering program, a record of leading technology-based companies, and eligibility to register as a Professional Engineer in Ontario are desirable qualifications. The Institute is especially interested in individuals with a demonstrated commitment to innovative teaching and engagement in the scholarship of teaching and learning.
