Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing estimates of labour and/or material costs, operating CADD and other computer software systems, and providing economic feasibility studies and preliminary estimates for proposed projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare detailed estimates of labour and material costs for construction projects
  • Operate CADD and other computer software systems to create estimates and reports
  • Conduct economic feasibility studies and provide preliminary estimates for proposed projects
  • Develop and maintain cost monitoring and reporting systems
  • Liaise with engineers, architects, owners, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure accurate estimates and cost control
  • Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate estimates
Requirements
  • College/CEGEP diploma in a related field
  • Experience in construction estimating, quantity surveying, or a related field
  • Proficiency in CADD and other computer software systems
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and will be required to work under pressure.
