Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for commercial electrical projects, solar installations, and battery energy storage systems.
  • Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documents to determine project scope and requirements.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to develop competitive bids.
  • SOURCE AND NEGOTIATE PRICING WITH SUPPLIERS AND SUBCONTRACTORS TO OPTIMIZE PROJECT COSTS.
  • Evaluate and mitigate risks associated with project changes and unforeseen conditions.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as an electrical estimator in the commercial electrical industry.
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems, renewable energy, and battery storage solutions.
  • Proficiency in estimating software (such as Accubid, Bluebeam, or similar).
  • Able to read and interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
  • Familiarity with OESC (Ontario Electrical Safety Code), local electrical codes, and permitting processes.
