Job Summary
The Grocery Clerk is a key member of our store team, responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive shopping experience for our customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Adhere to all food safety protocols and standard operating procedures to maintain a clean and safe store environment.
- Order, receive, and merchandise stock in accordance with company inventory control procedures.
- Provide superior customer service to meet customer needs and increase customer loyalty.
- Actively promote featured products to increase store sales.
- Perform back shop and retail floor maintenance to maintain a clean and presentable work area.
- Prepare customer orders and process department shrink as required.
- Participate in the training of junior staff to ensure a smooth transition of knowledge and skills.
Requirements
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Above-average communication skills (oral and written).
- Physical ability to lift up to 20lbs, stand for long periods, and complete physical work including bending, lifting, and reaching.
