Job Summary:

The Credit Worthiness Specialist will report to the Credit Manager and evaluate the credit worthiness of applicants at Summit Fleet. The individual will be detail-oriented and analytical, responsible for evaluating the creditworthiness of potential and existing clients, analyzing financial data, negotiating with customers, and making recommendations to mitigate risk and maximize profitability.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Gathers and analyzes credit applicants' financial data to evaluate risk
  • Assesses creditworthiness of individuals, companies, and institutions
  • Collaborates with other financial experts to approve or deny credit requests
  • Performs internal reviews and makes recommendations about whether to increase, adjust, extend, or close lines of credit
  • Prepares and presents credit reports
  • Monitors and adheres to collateral compliance covenants
  • Ensures that all granted credit is made in adherence with federal, state, and local financial regulations
  • Analyzes data to verify information and uncover fraud
  • Assists in the creation of underwriting standards, credit policies, and process improvements
  • Communicates credit decisions and policies to fellow employees and credit applicants
  • Oversees or undertakes account setup and document preparation

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of commercial credit products, market trends, and/or credit procedures
