Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Child Care Professional to join our team at the Medicine Hat Catholic Board of Education. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for providing high-quality child care services to our students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement and supervise developmentally appropriate child care programming in accordance with Licensing requirements.
  • Collaborate with our OSC coordinator and staff to ensure seamless delivery of services.
  • Develop and maintain a positive attitude, leadership, organization, and time management skills to effectively manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Utilize technical skills to communicate effectively with technology, including smartphones and Google Classroom.
  • Ensure compliance with valid First Aid and Food Safety certifications, and maintain Alberta certification as an asset.
  • Stay up-to-date with technology, including Google and Microsoft Suite, to effectively manage and maintain records.
Requirements
  • Level 1 Training in child care service is required, with training provided at no cost.
  • Possibility of funds available to support child care license training for Level 2 & 3.
  • Individual must be compassionate, patient, and empathetic to student and family needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with students, families, and staff.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Alberta certification is an asset.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, multitask, and team-oriented environment.
