Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Hair Stylist to join our team at Indigo Lounge Hair Salon.



Key Responsibilities

  • Advise clients on beauty care treatments, analyzing hair and scalp conditions to provide personalized solutions.
  • Book appointments and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction through excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Cut and trim hair according to clients' instructions or preferences, providing custom hair and scalp treatments as needed.
  • Apply bleach, tints, dyes, or rinses to colour, frost, or streak hair, while maintaining a safe and hygienic work environment.
  • Perform receptionist duties, including answering phone calls, managing schedules, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
  • Suggest hair styles compatible with clients' physical features and preferences, utilizing knowledge of current trends and techniques.
  • Maintain and order supplies, ensuring the salon is always well-stocked and prepared for clients.


Requirements

  • Hairstylist Trade Certification and Hairstyling Red Seal Certificate are required.
  • Experience in a similar role, with a strong background in customer service and hair styling techniques.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Manual dexterity, attention to detail, and hand-eye coordination are essential for this role.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods, with a combination of sitting and standing throughout the workday.
  • Flexibility and adaptability, with a strong focus on client satisfaction and team collaboration.
