Ballina Contracting is a civil construction company based in British Columbia, Canada.

We are seeking a Traffic Control Supervisor to lead our team in implementing safe and efficient traffic management plans.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise a diverse team of individuals performing various tasks in the traffic control sector.
  • Establish and maintain crew schedules to ensure optimal productivity.
  • Ensure the safe implementation of site-wide Traffic Management Plans, adhering to WorkSafeBC regulations.
  • Perform site audits to verify compliance with TMPs and WorkSafeBC regulations.
  • Ensure all required paperwork is completed daily.
  • Setup, maintain, and inspect traffic control equipment according to the traffic management plan.
  • Commit to a safe and healthy work environment with a zero-injury culture.
  • Effectively interact with the traveling public and represent the company in a respectful manner.

Requirements:

  • Must hold a valid TCP Certificate in British Columbia.
  • Must have a valid Class 5 BC Driver's License with a clean driving abstract.
  • Must have 2-3 years of experience as a traffic control supervisor.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs and work outdoors for extended periods under varying weather conditions.
  • Experience working on highways and Ministry of Transportation projects is an asset.

Job Details:

  • Out-of-town work may be required.
  • Will follow either a 10/3 or 6/1 shift pattern.
  • LOA & Accommodations will be provided.
  • Compensation will be commensurate with experience.
  • Full-time, Permanent position.
