Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Radiological Technologist to join our team at Langley Memorial Hospital.
As a member of our Medical Imaging department, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures, observing safe radiation protection practices, and working collaboratively with healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities
- Perform all general duty radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures consistent with established standards, procedures, and protocols.
- Work collaboratively with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans.
- Explain procedures and provide instructions to patients, ensuring their understanding and comfort throughout the process.
- Maintain accurate records of patient information, medical histories, and test results, using PACS/Radiology Information Systems for digital imaging and image archiving.
- Monitor equipment performance, maintain cleanliness of examination rooms, and adhere to health and safety regulations.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- Certification with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT).
- Demonstrated knowledge and practice of safe work procedures with diagnostic radiographic and medical imaging equipment.
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, coworkers, and healthcare staff.
- Computer skills, including proficiency in client care information systems.
