Job Title: GIS Application Specialist

We are seeking a skilled GIS Application Specialist to drive the implementation and optimization of Geographic Information System (GIS) solutions across our organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess departmental needs and implement GIS solutions to enhance efficiency and synergy.
  • Develop specialized GIS applications and interfaces to support business processes.
  • Collaborate with development and database administration staff to integrate GIS solutions.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentoring to staff on GIS-related matters.
  • Research and identify business process gaps across departments and develop solutions to address them.
Requirements:
  • 3-year degree or diploma in a related field (e.g. Geographic Information Systems or Computer Science).
  • 4-7 years of related experience including GIS application development.
  • Technical knowledge of key geospatial enterprise technologies.
  • Demonstrated extensive knowledge of the ESRI Enterprise Geodatabase products.
  • Advanced Proficiency in ArcGIS products and FME.
  • Strong working knowledge of database management and programming.
  • Knowledge of municipal software such as AMANDA and Citywide would be an asset.
  • Ability to support and project values compatible with the organization.
  • Proven experience in GIS application development and spatial analysis.
