About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Cook to join our team at Sudbury Retirement Manor. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods for our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, including main courses, desserts, and snacks
  • Ensure that all food is prepared to a high standard and presented attractively
  • Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety regulations
  • Supervise and train kitchen staff, including cooks and kitchen assistants
  • Order supplies and equipment as needed, and maintain inventory records
  • Work collaboratively with other members of the culinary team to ensure smooth service delivery
Requirements
  • Safe Food Handling certificate
  • Criminal record check
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy loads
