Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Operations Manager to join our team at The Wohl Group. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing direct troubleshooting maintenance work for repair, adjustment, adaptation, re-design, preventative maintenance, and installation of all plant and yard equipment, machinery, and infrastructure.

This position involves working outdoors in our recycling yards as well as indoors in our maintenance shop. You will be expected to perform a variety of tasks, including:

  • Performing Preventive Maintenance activities on all equipment and machines throughout the plant and yards in conjunction with daily production requirements.
  • Repairing breakdowns of equipment, machinery, and infrastructure.
  • Maintaining hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Fabricating parts and other equipment as per instructions or blueprint.
  • Installing and commissioning new machinery.
  • Performing weld repairs on equipment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Supervising a crew of 2 or more in multi-skills.
  • Distributing work orders to team members.
  • Leading by example and providing guidance to junior technicians.
Qualifications
  • A Certified Millwright, Industrial Electrician, or Dual Ticket is an asset.
  • Welding Certifications.
  • Possess a minimum of three years of Maintenance Mechanic experience.
  • Experienced with welding.
  • Experience diagnosing mechanical and electrical problems and expediting repair.
