About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Mechanic Assistant to join our team at MJY Auto Sales and Leasing. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day functioning of our dealership.

Key Responsibilities
  • Tool and Equipment Management: Assist in the organization and maintenance of tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition and easily accessible to our technicians.
  • Site Safety and Security: Promote a safe working environment by adhering to all safety protocols and procedures, and reporting any hazards or incidents to management.
  • Support to Tradespersons and Apprentices: Provide assistance to our tradespersons and apprentices as needed, helping them to complete tasks efficiently and effectively.
  • Cleanliness and Organization: Maintain a clean and organized work area, including the cleaning of machines and equipment.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Work Conditions: This is a physically demanding role that requires a combination of sitting, standing, and walking throughout the day.
  • Physical Capabilities: You will be required to bend, crouch, and kneel on a regular basis, and may be exposed to varying temperatures and weather conditions.
  • Work Pressure: You will work under pressure to meet deadlines and complete tasks efficiently.
Weight Handling and Work Term
  • Weight Handling: You will be required to lift and move equipment and materials weighing up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
  • Work Term: This is a permanent full-time position, working 40 hours per week.
