We are seeking a skilled and passionate Cook to join our team at Verve Senior Living. As a key member of our culinary team, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional dining experiences for our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook a variety of meals and snacks for residents and guests
  • Ensure high-quality food presentation and presentation
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen environment
  • Assist with inventory control and ordering of ingredients
  • Supervise meal preparation and service during the absence of the Dining Services Manager
  • Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives

Requirements:

  • Minimum of grade 12 education required
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in large volume food cooking, preparation, and plating techniques
  • Graduate of a recognized college food preparation program
  • Certified Red Seal certificate
  • Valid regional food handler's certificate
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
