About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Environmental Project Coordinator to join our team at Pinchin. As a key member of our Hazardous Materials team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient management of hazardous materials in our Saint John, New Brunswick office.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct effective worker exposure and workplace monitoring, safety inspections, and audits to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
  • Develop and implement various types of hygiene, health, and safety documentation, including technical reports and client-facing materials.
  • Liaise with clients to understand their needs and goals, and provide expert advice and guidance to ensure their safety and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in the development of business development strategies to grow our client base and increase revenue.
  • Maintain and enhance quality control within the group, ensuring that all work meets the highest standards of quality and professionalism.
Requirements
  • College diploma in Occupational Health and Safety, Construction, or Architectural Technology, or Bachelor of Science or Engineering, or equivalent/related post-secondary experience.
  • Intermediate two to five years of experience in a related field, with a strong background in hazardous materials management.
  • Previous experience in a similar role, with a proven track record of success in managing hazardous materials and ensuring client safety.
  • C.E.T. or related designations will be considered an asset.
  • Knowledge of environmental and health and safety legislation and guidelines, including OSHA and WHMIS.
  • Familiarity with building systems, including structure, envelope, HVAC, electrical, and plumbing.
  • Experience reading and interpreting architectural drawings.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to follow detailed instructions and work independently.
  • Excellent technical report writing skills, with the ability to produce high-quality reports and documents.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Products, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Availability to work outside of core business hours and rotational weekends, when required.
  • Vehicle, valid driver's license, and insurance, as travel around the designated region is required.
