Executive Chef Position for Food Preparation

The Old York Tavern seeks a motivated and reliable Cook to join our team.
We offer a unique dining experience with French and American brasserie influence, serving lunch, dinner, and weekend brunch services.
As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality menu items while maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
Main Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and presentation guidelines
- Maintain a safe and efficient workstation
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service
- Follow food safety standards at all times
- Assist with daily prep work and stock rotation
- Communicate effectively with the team to address any issues or shortages
- Contribute to a positive kitchen atmosphere
Requirements:
- Previous kitchen experience as a line cook or prep cook preferred
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and kitchen hygiene
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and stand for extended periods
