Retail Store Assistant Manager

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Assistant Manager to join our team at Sheridan Convenience and Food Mart. As an Assistant Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the Store Manager in the day-to-day operations of the store, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and that our store runs smoothly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage and supervise a team of retail staff, providing guidance and support to ensure excellent customer service and store operations.
- Study market trends and consumer behavior to determine sales strategies and optimize store performance.
- Determine product offerings and pricing, ensuring that our store remains competitive and attractive to customers.
- Implement and manage store policies, including pricing, promotions, and customer service standards.
- Recruit, train, and develop retail staff, ensuring that they have the skills and knowledge needed to provide exceptional customer service.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback to staff to ensure that they are meeting their goals and objectives.
- Plan and manage store budgets, ensuring that we are operating within our means and making the most of our resources.
- Develop and implement marketing strategies to attract and retain customers, including social media, advertising, and in-store promotions.
- 1-2 years of retail management experience, preferably in a convenience store or similar environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff, customers, and suppliers.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of energy and enthusiasm.
- Availability to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends.
