Corporate Financial Planning and Analysis Role

In this leadership position, you will play a pivotal role in the Corporate FP&A team at Questrade Financial Group. As a key member of the team, your primary responsibility will be to deliver insightful financial information and analysis to the executive team to support informed decision-making across the organization.

About the Job

The Manager, Forecasting is responsible for assisting in leading the development and maintenance of all financial forecasts (short-term and long-term). This includes developing, maintaining, and consolidating financial forecasts for new and existing lines of businesses to support QFG's annual budget and forecast, as well as long-term plans.

You will work under the direction of the Senior Manager, Forecasting, collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to obtain key inputs and research for financial modeling. Your duties will also include preparing communications and presentation materials for the senior leadership team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop business cases to evaluate the financial impact of new initiatives and enterprise decisions
  • Conduct industry and competitive research to develop sound assumptions that support the drivers and inputs of the financial models
  • Prepare communications and presentation materials for the senior leadership team
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to obtain key inputs and research for financial modeling
Requirements

To excel in this role, you must possess a Post-secondary degree/diploma in a related field, hold a CPA and/or CFA designation, and have 5+ years of related work experience in FP&A/Forecasting, with at least 2 years at a leadership level.

You should also demonstrate exceptional Excel skills, experience building and maintaining complex financial models, advanced PowerPoint/Google Slide skills, excellent communication skills, and experience interacting with all levels of leadership, both verbally and in writing.

A self-motivated and ambitious individual with strong problem-solving skills, the ability to translate complex business initiatives into quantitative models, and experience working in fast-paced environments are essential qualifications for this role.
