Job Description

Bisla Martial Arts is seeking a skilled Boxing Coach to join our team. As a Boxing Coach, you will be responsible for planning, developing, and implementing training and practice sessions for our athletes. You will also motivate and prepare athletes for competitive events, analyze and evaluate their performance, and observe and evaluate prospective athletes' skills and performance.

Support for Newcomers and Refugees

We are committed to creating a welcoming work environment for newcomers and refugees. As a Boxing Coach, you will be responsible for recruiting and supporting newcomers and refugees, providing diversity and cross-cultural training, and offering mentorship programs that pair newcomers and refugees with experienced employees.

Support for Indigenous People

We are dedicated to creating a welcoming work environment for Indigenous people. As a Boxing Coach, you will be responsible for offering mentorship, coaching, and networking opportunities for Indigenous workers, developing and maintaining relationships with Indigenous communities, and providing cultural competency training and awareness training.

Support for Visible Minorities

We are committed to creating a welcoming work environment for visible minorities. As a Boxing Coach, you will be responsible for applying hiring policies that discourage discrimination, offering mentorship programs, and providing diversity and cross-cultural training.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, develop, and implement training and practice sessions
  • Motivate and prepare athletes for competitive events
  • Analyze and evaluate athletes' performance
  • Observe and evaluate prospective athletes' skills and performance
  • Recruit and support newcomers and refugees
  • Provide diversity and cross-cultural training
  • Offer mentorship programs
  • Develop and maintain relationships with Indigenous communities
  • Provide cultural competency training and awareness training
  • Apply hiring policies that discourage discrimination

Requirements:

  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience
  • No degree, certificate, or diploma required
  • English language proficiency
