Job Description

The Superior North Catholic District School Board is seeking a highly skilled Literacy Lead to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will play a crucial role in supporting the development of literacy skills among our students.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement effective literacy programs for Early Years and Primary grades.
• Provide coaching and support to teachers on literacy pedagogy and assessment strategies.
• Collaborate with school-based teams to identify and address the literacy needs of students.

Requirements:

• A current membership in good standing with the Ontario College of Teachers.
• AQ - Reading Specialist - Early Years Focus and AQ - Special Education Part 1.
• At least three years of teaching, leadership, and academic coaching experience.
• Experience working with collaborative and multi-disciplinary school-based teams.
• Possess strong oral and written communication skills.
