Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Janitorial Assistant to join our team at First Nations University of Canada. As a Janitorial Assistant, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our campus facilities, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for students, staff, and faculty.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine cleaning duties to maintain the cleanliness and organization of campus facilities, including washrooms, classrooms, and common areas.
  • Restock paper products, refill washroom dispensers, and dispose of garbage on a daily basis.
  • Vacuum heavy traffic carpeted areas and all carpet areas as required.
  • Disinfect and maintain cleanliness of entire washroom area, ensuring washrooms are sanitized daily.
  • General housekeeping of private and general office areas, laboratory, laboratory classrooms, boardrooms, stairwells, library, and main access areas.
  • Wash walls, sills, doors, railings, windows, floors, and blinds.
  • Observe and report all work areas for the security and safety of the building and its contents.

Requirements:

  • Grade 10 is required with up to six months of janitorial experience.
