Job Summary

We are looking for a seasoned Procurement Expert - Indirect Spend to join our Strategic Sourcing team at Liebherr Canada. As a Buyer specializing in indirect procurement, you will play a crucial role in procuring essential goods and services that support our operations.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Indirect Spend Management: Develop and execute strategies to optimize indirect spend categories, ensuring cost-effective solutions that align with business needs.
  • Supplier Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating favorable terms and conditions to drive value and minimize supply chain risks.
  • Procurement Planning: Collaborate with internal teams to assess demand forecasts and inventory levels, ensuring purchasing aligns with operational needs while minimizing supply chain risks.
  • Contract Management: Assist in drafting, reviewing, and managing supplier contracts, ensuring adherence to company policies and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Order Management: Place and track purchase orders (predominantly indirect spend), ensuring the timely delivery of goods and services that meet quality and compliance standards.

Requirements:

  • Experience: 3-5 years of experience in procurement or buying, ideally within the heavy equipment or manufacturing industry.
  • Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in managing data, generating reports, and drawing insights to support decision-making.
  • Negotiation Skills: Demonstrated ability to negotiate terms and conditions effectively to maximize value and manage costs.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with ERP or procurement systems; familiarity with SAP is a plus.
