About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join AXIS Capital, a leading global provider of specialty lines insurance and reinsurance. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Claims Specialist to join our Canada Claims team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyse liability and damages issues in connection with primary and excess claims, maintaining accurate documentation.
  • Analyse insurance coverage issues, draft coverage letters, and communicate positions to insureds and brokers.
  • Manage external adjusters and counsel, and collaborate with Insureds in the defence and resolution of claims.
  • Settlement negotiation.
  • Evaluate full pending of claims in connection with the posting and maintaining of accurate reserves.
  • Maintain and develop relationships with brokers, risk managers, general counsels, and a variety of vendors.
  • Provide data and analytic-based informational support to underwriters.
  • Provide support to underwriters with respect to marketing efforts, policy wording, and trending discussions.
  • Provide oversight, supervision, and guidance to TPA adjusters on behalf of AXIS.
  • Ensure prompt payment of losses and vendor invoices.
About You

We are looking for a motivated and experienced claims professional who possesses excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills. You will have a proven track record of handling claims, litigation, or related experience in a legal or multiline insurance environment.
