We are seeking a Respectful Workplace Advocate to join our team at Nova Scotia. In this role, you will work closely with employees, managers, and HR professionals to promote a respectful workplace culture.

About Our Opportunity

As a Respectful Workplace Advocate, you will provide expert advice on best practices and processes for creating a respectful workplace culture, as well as support and guidance to all parties involved in workplace issues.

You will lead and coordinate facilitated discussions and mediations, and review and assess complaints to determine the appropriate resolution approach.

Primary Accountabilities
  • Provides analysis and advice to Human Resource professionals, managers, senior officials, and employees with respect to conflict resolution options.
  • Provides timely and professional responses to workplace concerns.
  • Oversight of the Respectful Workplace Policy.
  • Lead and coordinate facilitated discussions and mediations.
  • Review and assess complaints to determine the appropriate resolution approach.
  • Conduct workplace investigations and report writing.
Qualifications and Experience

To be successful in this role, you will have a bachelor's degree in a related field and several years of related work experience or an acceptable equivalent combination of training or experience.

Your thorough understanding of conflict resolution principles and best practices will be critical in this role.

Leadership competencies required at this level of work include Conceptual Thinking, Strategic Orientation, Outcome Focus, Initiative, Effective Interactive Communication, Partnering and Relationship Building, and Intercultural and Diversity Proficiency.
