Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and train staff to ensure excellent customer service and sales performance
  • Assign sales workers to duties and oversee the sales floor
  • Hire and train new staff members to meet the needs of the store
  • Order merchandise and manage inventory levels
  • Authorize returns and resolve customer complaints
  • Establish work schedules and oversee payroll administration
  • Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising, and personnel matters
  • Resolve issues that may arise, including customer requests and supply shortages
  • Organize and maintain inventory, including receiving and stocking merchandise
  • Supervise and coordinate activities of workers, including office and volunteer staff
  • Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback to staff
Requirements:
  • 1-2 years of retail experience, preferably in a supervisory role
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education an asset
