Job Summary:

RK Sidhu Trucking Ltd. is seeking a skilled Long Haul Truck Driver to join our team. As a Long Haul Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials across various locations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and adjust routes based on changing conditions to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions.
  • Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy.
  • Load and unload goods.
  • Obtain special permits and documents required to transport cargo on international routes.
  • Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials.
  • Oversee the condition of the vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment.
  • Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections and oversee all aspects of the vehicle.
  • Perform preventive maintenance.
  • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
  • Tarping and ensuring the safety and security of cargo.

Requirements:

  • Driver's License (Class 1 or A).
  • Knowledge of driver logbook, inspection report, and trip reports.
